Privacy Policy

Effective September 20, 2026. This policy explains how Starquest Studio LLC (“we”) handles information when you use MooMail.

Information we process

When you connect an email account, MooMail processes your email address, message content, sender and recipient information, subject lines, timestamps, folder or label information, and basic message metadata needed to sync and organize your mailbox. MooMail does not download ordinary binary attachment contents. We also process an installation identifier, subscription status, and limited operational information needed to secure and maintain the service.

How we use information

We use this information only to authenticate your connection, sync the mailbox features you request, organize messages, generate user-requested product features, prevent abuse, diagnose service failures, and maintain security. We do not sell mailbox data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it except when necessary for security or support and with appropriate authorization.

Google user data

MooMail’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. MooMail requests gmail.readonly so it can display and organize message content. It does not request permission to send, modify, or delete Gmail messages.

Service providers and transfers

Mailbox data may be processed by the mailbox provider you connect, our hosting provider, and processors that provide classification or product intelligence on our behalf. We send only the information needed for the requested feature, require providers to protect it, and do not permit them to use it for advertising. Data may be processed in the United States.

Credentials and security

OAuth access and refresh tokens and provider app-specific passwords are kept on the server and encrypted at rest. Provider credentials are never embedded in the iPhone app. Connections use TLS, and account operations are bound to an authenticated MooMail installation session. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Retention and deletion

We retain connected-account credentials, synchronized message data, classifications, and related feature data while needed to provide the service. Disconnecting an account removes its credentials and associated data from active MooMail databases. Limited residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups or operational records where required for security, legal compliance, or reliable recovery.

Your choices

You can revoke Google access from your Google Account, revoke Microsoft access from your Microsoft account, or disconnect an account in MooMail. You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information by contacting us.

Children and changes

MooMail is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes; material updates will be identified by a new effective date.
